Extremely Vietnam-era Zippo lighter with correct insert. The lighter is a 1969 version with etching that reads "YOU HAVE NEVER LIVED TILL YOU'VE ALMOST DIED FOR THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR IT LIFE HAS A FLAVOR THE PROTECTED WILL NEVER KNOW" Along with the soldeirs nickname "Fat Yac" on the upper part. Absolutely amazing patina. Looks very cool. Strong cam, and the lighter snaps shut well. Great piece of history.
Reconditioned to perfect working order. Lighter measures approximately 2 1/8" x 1 1/2". This vintage lighter was disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt with a new flint/packing, and any needed replacement parts. Perfect working order. Wonderful vintage condition.
