Ronson began as the Art Metal Works in Newark, New Jersey in 1898, building its reputation on the one-motion lighter introduced in 1926 — igniting with a single press, staying lit as long as you held it. Zippo acquired the US brand in 2010, making original Newark-era pieces including the Banjo, the Gem, Pet, Standard, and Princess increasingly collectible.
