Amazing early brass trench art book shaped lighter in great working condition. Great patina. This is a hand-made piece made during WWI. Marked "Veroun" on one side and "Souvenir, 1916" on the reverse. The Battle of Verdun was fought from 21 February to 18 December 1916 on the Western Front in France. The battle was the longest of the First World War. Lighter works great. Fluid is inserted either through the opening for the wick or where the flint wheel is inserted.
This vintage lighter was reconditioned with any needed replacement parts. Perfect working order. Wonderful vintage condition. Approximately 2 1/2" x 2".
All work performed by The Northern Electric Lighting Company, NC.
As per shipping regulations, the lighter will be shipped without fluid. Just fill with Zippo or Ronsonol lighter fluid to operate.
