Figural lighters are among the most visually spectacular pieces in vintage lighter collecting — pocket and table lighters crafted in the shapes of animals, vehicles, weapons, and everyday objects rather than conventional lighter forms. American manufacturers like Negbaur led the category in the 1930s and 1940s, while Japanese makers produced an enormous variety of novelty figurals in brass and chrome.
